Just before Christmas, the Unesco Initiatives Centre team met with their young volunteers in Kamienna Góra to create nesting boxes for birds, feeders and boxes for insects.
It turned out to be much easier than we thought. We didn't need a leader or a trainer. Videos on Youtube and instructions found on the internet were enough. Thanks to this, we learned a lot about bird species, their preferences, what threatens them and what helps.
People who did not want to build nesting boxes could, in turn, take part in upcycling workshops conducted by one of our volunteers.
